Hunter F.58 ZZ191 at RAF Fairford, 20th July 2019; Jake Wallace

After retirement from the Swiss Air Force as J-4058, the aircraft was acquired by The Old Flying Machine Company, where it received the registration G-BWFS in 1995.

By the early 2000s, G-BWFS was acquired by Hawker Hunter Aviation, a company that provides a defence simulation contract with the MoD, using the Hunters as a chase aircraft. HHA changed the registration to G-HHAD in 2002, but it was later changed to ZZ191 in 2006.

In 2018, ZZ191 was spotted throughout the country and airshow circuit in its new, and rather striking splinter camouflage colours! In recent years, ZZ191 sightings seem to have become rarer, with ZZ190 and XE688 appearing on the airshow circuit far more in the last few years.
