Jaguar GR.1 XX969 at Cosford, 27th September 2025; RAF Cosford

XX969 first flew on 1st December 1975 and was delivered to the RAF in January 1976. She entered service with 31 Squadron at RAFG Brüggen, coded DC, until they re-equipped with the Tornado in 1984.

Flown back to storage in the UK, she was then allocated to 226 OCU at RAF Lossiemouth, coded 01, and served with them until August 1986 when she was retired to ground instructional duties at No.1 SoTT, RAF Cosford.

In summer 2025 she was earmarked for disposal and acquired by a nascent museum to be located at the former RAF Brüggen. Subsequently, she was dismantled by JARTS in late September and transported to Germany in late October. She'll be reassembled and restored for display in due course.
